sixtythreesixty.com is a gardening site, primarily focused on growing vegetables. A picture can be worth a thousand words and we try to add as many pictures as we can. All of the photos we use are our own.
Born and raised on a Iowa farm, we had a family garden. After getting my engineering degree, the time came to move on, start a career, marry and raise a family. Traveling from project to project, my wife and I had to at least try to grow the favorite garden vegetables of our youth. Sweet corn and tomatoes! So, over the years we started gardens. Many of them in fact. We had garden spots in the Golden Triangle area of SE Texas, the Ohio River Valley, South Texas and in America’s Heartland near Kansas City. They represent some of the different growth climates that we experienced. Eventually we retired and ended up on the Colorado Front Range. Living and gardening at elevation 6,360 feet (hence the website name). And, after 11 major moves in 35 years, we are setting up our final home and garden spot! We have raised beds, “hothouses” and container gardens that help extend our high elevation growing season beyond our limited summer months. And we have a small sun room to grow small amounts of fresh winter food and spring plants for transplanting.
So, check us out! We hope you return occasionally to see whats new and how we are growing!
